What is a 'second'?

In pottery, a "second" is an imperfect ceramic piece, sold at a discount.

Often for us it can be something minor, like a small black speck on the porcelain, slight distortion during the firing, a small chip from sticking to the kiln shelf. Often not easily noticed but not something that would pass our quality control checks.

We really don't like waste, and we care deeply about our environment that allows us to produce our beautiful lighting, so we feel its important to try and find a home for some of our imperfect pieces that we wont generally put up for sale.
